With the expertise and know-how of winegrower Philippe Tessier, Les Sources de Cheverny invited the Romorantin grape variety to take over 7 hectares of land here to create their very own Cour-Cheverny vintage La Grand'Vigne.
This royal grape variety was a favourite of King Francis I of France and he had it imported to the Loire from Burgundy for his mother Louise de Savoie.
Romorantin is a crisp and delicate white wine with notes of white flowers, citrus fruit and honey. An exceptional Cour-Cheverny that is certified organic, grown in respect of the vine, the people working it and the environment. It is to be savoured as an invitation on an aromatic journey between past and present.
